One. I hear all this talk about seeding swarms but i have no clue what it is besides a Tyranid army. So if someone could please tell me what its rules are i would be very thankful. And two. Also the rule were when jump packs land in woods they take a difficult terrain test and if they role a 1 they take a wound. So this guy were i ply said that woods is just a general term for rough terrain. Is he crazy or did I just miss out on something?

if the jump pack troops land in difficult terrain, they must take a difficult terrain test (one of their number dying on a roll of one). This includes woods, rocky outcrops, building roofs (rickety slanted ones anyway) etc, etc and tyranid seeding swarms are rules designed to represent tyranids assaulting from orbit (i.e. the nids go planet side in spores, utilised exactly like drop pods). These rules include such things as ferocity, and sustained assault. the rules for seeding swarm can be found in WD number 256

tyranids can be divided into 2 different type of armies. 1.- the standard nid army from the codex 2.- seeding swarm, the nids that make the first jump onto the enemy planet, basicly al models enter by deep strike and they some nifty upgrades for broods the latest rules for them can be found in CA 2004 and on the second question, yes models with wings, jumppacks or jetpacks take a test to see if they land safely, if they roll a 1 then the models suffers a single wound with no save allowed woods count as difficult terrain or even impassiblet terrain |
