If a unit has both Furious Charge and Counter Attack, if the unit is charged does the Furious Charge bonus trigger? Or do they simply gain an extra attack for that round of combat?
Air Calv Guard: 3 - 2 - 1
Word Bearers: 23 - 9 - 4
No they do not. Counter Attack specifies that the unit gains the +1 attack normally gained from charging. The distinction is that the unit doesn't actually charge, thus they do not gain any further benefits from an ability like Furious Charge.
Great question though.

The key to explaining your argument should be that Counter Attack says they get the +1 assault bonus to their attacks (which is what the rest of the sentence, "exactly as if they too had assaulted" is referring to) and not any other bonuses.
