I have the little book from BFP and can only find where grenades stop you oponent from geting bonuses from being in cover for an assult i thout you could throw them and blow stuff up kind of like using a missle launcer on a unit Just need a lil help hear
You can't. Frag Grenades only negate the penalty for charging through terrain. Actually they do have S4 against vehicles come to think of it, but of course for armies like marines that doesn't do anything.
Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
1. Pull Pin.
Seriously, the guy who got me into WH40k, remembers the ability to throw grenades, and it had its own rules for scatter and such. But 4th and 5th excluded all of that. Now they are simply for assault/defense purposes. And they have a use for assaulting tanks, with only average STR troops. Someone above listed the page.
If you want the joy of throwing something like a grenade? Look into demo charges with the IG. You throw it, it scatters, it goes BOOM! I was playing a game of apoc where my teamate lobbed a demo charge at some dethkoptas. It scattered just right and devastated them. It was all kinds of awesome. Of course, you also have to watch out for it scattering back onto you! (still entertaining though. you can imagine the thrower slipping on a banana peel or the enemy with a baseball bat hitting it back at them. Hot Potato! Hot Potato!)
You vould always house rule them. You have their strength listed in the vehicle section, so add a range and play that way, if it feels more fun.
But limit the number of grenades you can use per game, then, or have them cost points (or both, actually).
