Where in the space marine codex does it tell you about these grenades?
Iron clads have them in the assault launchers and i wanted to know what they do.
It is not in the Space Marine Codex. Please see the BRB.
I believe it is page 36 for infantry purposes (and page 63 for use against vehicles), but don't take my word for it on the page numbers.
MC Bone Giant is correct on the page number (BrB, pg 36) for describing the effects of assault and defensive grenades.
In short, assault grenades allow models assaulting through/into cover to use their initiative rather then suffering a penalty.
Defensive grenades, deny bonus assault attacks. For example, normally when a Marine charges, her receives 1 base + 1 attack for the charge. When charging an Ironclad Dread (with defensive grenades) this bonus attack on the charge is negated. So he would only have 1 attack, against the Ironclad Dread.
WOW thats amazing, iron clad really is a wrecking machine.
THX alot guys.
