ok so this came up in a game last night.
an ork battle wagon moved 12" and i shot at its rear with my wraithlord with a scatter laser and managed to get a wreck result. it was surrounded by like 3 squads of boys from other transports etc.
so i wanted to assault it and blow it up and the explosion would hopefully take out some of them (what i was hoping for)
my question is since it was a wreck i thought it counted as imobilised but my friends told me since it moved 12" that i needed 6's to hit still. since it was a wreck i should be able to auto hit right??
my next question is: say i had a doomed squad of boys around it, do they have to re roll the railed wound rolls from the tank exploding still? kinda got me thinking
whats your thoughts on this
A few things with that scenario.
1.) A wrecked vehicle becomes terrain, it's not a legal target to assault or shoot anymore. (pg. 62)
2.) Had you rolled an immobilzed result however, and the vehicle was still in play but immobile, then you would automatically hit. There's the chart on pg. 63, if the vehicle is currently immobilized it's an automatic hit.
3.) Yep, doom lets you re-roll wounds from an exploding transport too.
thank you very much!
makes sense i guess...
