    Reserves & Deep Strike Process

    Hello All,

Looking for some guidance. Especially with Planetstrike, we're doing a lot of reserves rolls and deep striking. It doesn't seem clear how to break down the pieces of reserves rolls, and then rolling for deep strikers. So, which approach are we suppose to take (or is it something else altogether)?

    Approach 1
    (1) Reserves rolls for all of your units
    (2) For all the units deep striking, place counters where you want them to land
    (3) Roll scatter for each unit

    Approach 2
    (1) Reserves rolls for all of your units
    (2) Decide which unit to Deep Strike first
    (3) Roll for scatter for that unit & place it
    (4) Decide which unit to Deep Strike next, scatter it, etc... and repeat

...or is it something else? Do we roll reserves for a single unit, place it, scatter it... then move on to the next...??

    Thanks for help.

    This would be correct.

You'll note in the Deepstrike rule, it is a process clearly proscribing the entire procedure for one unit, from start to finish.

    Completely agree with psichotykwyrm.

Pg 94 BrB - Last paragraph in left column. Has the precise rule you are looking for.

All reserves are declared during deployment, and how they are arriving.
All reserve rolls are done at the beginning of Movement.

Then units are chosen, then they enter via method delcared. Completing each deployment, before deploying the next reserve unit chosen.
