Lets say my necron warrior squad gets assaulted and gets enough wounds so that i can remove the models that are in base contact with the enemy, that means that they are no longer in close combat correct?
Nope, the only ways out of combat is through normal resolution or Hit & Run.
Its more beneficial to remove models not fully contributing to the combat(engaged). That way, you still get to attack back.

There is one (and only one) way to end combat in this way other than using Hit and Run - this is explained on P40 of the main rulebook, in the third paragraph of the 'Pile-in' section, and is a little too long to repeat here. In general, it's only going to happen in the exceptionally unlikely event that the two sides in a combat kill so much that they are left more than 12" apart.
Hope that helps!

You'd have to be incredibly stretched out, probably with a unit placed line abreast at full coherency spacing, get just barely charged from one extreme edge of the formation, and then suffer massive casualties just to pull the remaining few models out alive for some reason.
