Greetings wise members of the LO community.
I have a question about combat resolution difference, specically the looser of the combat taking saves equal to the difference in combat resolution. eg. if I loose a combat by four wounds I take four saves as a ressult. Is this correct?
The first time I knew of this rule was a few weeks ago playing in my GW store. I then noticed the rule mentioned in this months white dwarf battle report, so it must exist somewhere. To my dissmay I cannot find this rule anywhere in my core rule book or the FAQ online. To my knowledge the rulebook states that the combat resolution difference modifies your leadership test but thats all I can find.
So I'm obviously missing something somewhere, can someone please point me in the right direction.
It applies to fearless units.
Normally a unit would take a morale test at, using your example, -4. Fearless units take 4 extra armour saves.
Can't give you a page ref at the moment. But the rule does exist.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Ah ha, the fearless bit is the part I was missing. I have located the rule "No Retreat" on page 44 of the main rules.
thanks again LO, within 15 minutes of asking I got an answer, rep to you skarsgrad
