After reading the BA vindicators thread posted in this forum, a question came about.
I always understood the rules as that all Ordnance weapons use Large Blasts. Is this not true? If it just says Ordnance in the profile for a particular weapon, does it mean that it does, in fact, not use a large blast marker?
And both types of Ordnance weapons roll 2d6, right?
Would like the confirmation of several members, if possible please.

As I was told Ordnance is large template. And it's 2d6 for scatter unless otherwise noted, and 2d6 Armour penetration taking the highest result. I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong on that one though.
Hellstrike missiles are the best example of this as clarified in the 2009 imperial guard FAQ.
AT has it right. One just assumes Ordnance weapons are large blast weapons because 99% of the ordnance weapons also state Large blast or Barrage in their profiles, making them actual large blasts. Nothing in the rulebook states that an Ordnance weapon has to be a large blast, only Ordnance Barrages. Chalk it up to misprint/bad editing on the part of GW with regards to the Blood Angel vindicators. Don't worry, you can expect it to get Errata'd. Anyone who's anal enough to play the vindie as literally 1 shot is going to get a lot of funny looks.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Someone would have to do some unnecessarily complicated math to confirm it, but I think the lack of a blast profile makes the BA demolisher a better tank hunter.
