Can some one please let me know how you shoot at a thunderfire cannon I have used this in a few games and people all seem to have different ideas of how the tech and gun gets hit.
The answer is in the main rulebook. Look to page 55(artillery page), bottom left hand side under 'Shooting'.
"It takes a vast amount of self control to be this dangerous."
---Ogvai Ogvai Helmshrot, Jarl of Tra, VI Legion Astartes
The Thunderfire Cannon is an Artillery Unit. The rules for shooting at an atrillery unit are described on page 55, in the BRB.
Simply put, when the artillery unit is targeted, there is a roll to determine which part of the model gets hit, the crew or the gun model. Then those wounds or penetrating hits are applied.
On reverse side, can you move the thunderfire 6" and then fire? or must it remain stationary to move? also, I had someone tell me that artillery is treated as "slow and purposeful" in that they roll to see what their movement is. I have not found this rule at all in the book for artillery
