So in my Blood Angel Army I'm running a squad of thunder hammer termies in a land raider reedemer, so there is technically room for one more model. I was wondering if I could put mephiston in it even though he is not part of the unit because he is not an IC. So can I put Mephiston in the land raider to get it's protection or am I only allowed one unit per land raider?

Necrons: 1000 Points (4/0/1)
If Mephiston is not an Independent Character, then doing what you are wanting to do would be placing two separate units in the one transport vehicle at the same time. You cannot do this.
P.66 BRB, 2nd para of "Transport Capacity".
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
indeed. you can only carry one unit.
an IC joins a unit, so it's still only one unit, but as you say mephiston is not an IC.
Yep you can only have one unit in a transport, with attached independant characters. Since Mephistion is more akin to a monsterous creature than a space marine he is not an independant character so cant join units. Since he cant all you have is two units, one land raider as your thread title suggests.
If you want to though you could fairly effectively hide him behind the land raider, he shouldnt have too much trouble hiding back there as he is a single infantry sized model, and his wings of Sanginius can help him keep up.
