Can a landspeeder claim a cover save from being behind a rhino type vehicle. I always thought, from the view of other models, that 50% of the hull was obscured and so you could claim the save. However, every gamer I play sees this differently.
Any thoughts anyone?
I was going to post a link to Red Archers excellent tactica on land speeders, but i noticed you've already been there. Its a matter of preference I think. I put a speeder behind a rhino on my painting table, and I didn't think it qualified for the cover save unless the squad targeting the speeder was right up close. All I can suggest is trying to come to an agreement with your opponent before the game starts. Hope someone more experienced throws in their two pennies worth.
Jager bombs. Very efficient at wiping out friend or foe.
From a TLOS perspective on even ground, I would have to say no to a land speeder behind a rhino. Though if it was a land speeder behind a razorback, I would say yes due to the razorback's turret.

Cover saves go with true line of sight from the gun of the shooter. If you cover 50% of the vehicle from there, they get cover. If not, no cover.
If you can't agree (which tends to happen sadly), usually we compromise that the vehicle would get a slightly worse cover save (usually 5+ instead of 4+).
With landspeeders specifically, they sit so high up usually that cover is generally not possible. HOWEVER, it is a dual edged sword for the opponent. With that height, the landspeeder is generally high enough to shoot over other models, thus denying them a cover save.
