Dedicated transports and scoring in Annihilation missions.

For the purposes of counting kill points in the Annihilate scenarios, do dedicated transports count as individual units? Or does the transport and the unit who "own" it count as a separate point as they're a single unit entry.

I think it's the first, but I'd rather check and have the advantage than not and be disadvantaged.

In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?

As skydog said, dedicated transports count as a killpoint.

As a page ref: P.92 BRB under "Multiple Unit Choices", it states that such units operate and count as separate units in all respects. This is why Tau players hate Devilfish + Fire Warrior unit + Gun Drones, as this can give away 3 KPs thanks to the Drones counting as a 2-man Gun Drone squadron if they are forced to disembark after the vehicle is destroyed (most folks don't disembark them in the normal run of things!).

This is true for everything except dedicated transports. on pg 87 it states that "Dedicated transport vehicles sit outside the force organization structure." Additionally the dedicated transport counts the same as the unit it is transporting because it is attached to the unit they are bought for.

So yes the transport and the transported units have to be destroyed to get the kill point. But this is only for dedicated transports.

It doesn't say anything like that. Page 87 only explains how dedicated transports fit into the force org chart, it has nothing to do with scoring.

    They count as seperate units.

They don't "count as" separate units, because they actually are separate units. Firmer nomenclature reinforces the point.

Furthermore, the FOC has absolutely nothing to do with kill points. It is determined by units, not choices. It's as clear and simple as that.

In other words transports still count as kill points.
