Do Artillery Platforms (specifically Eldar for me) have a fire arc?
The rules only state that both the weapon and 1 crewman must have LoS.
Do the Weapons have a 360deg arc like troops? Considered on a turret or pintle mount?
or a 45deg arc as if hull mounted?
At the beginning of turn 1, I spray my opponent's army with the bacon flavored spray. Then I unleash my Boston Terrier Squiggoth who then devours their entire bacon flavored army! There is no defense against her cuteness! All are doomed!
They aren't vehicle-mounted as such since they only are treated as vehicles with a specific AV for damage purposes, so they would have a 360° arc of fire. At least that's the way I've seen them played!
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
I would assume 360º, most of the guns are on carriages/mounts designed to allow easy aiming, so if the rulebook doesn't disagree then it's all good.
Page 59 tells us this and further gives dot pointed restrictions that limit the above.
But please consider also that although the default is an unlimited arc when viewed from above the model, the vertical arc is limited to 45º up or down regardless of line of sight.
Hope that helps, cheers.
