Terminators and Dreadnoughts can shoot a enemy unit and assualt a diffent unit or vehicle.I know they did that in the 3rd edition
They can still do it in 4th... Not sure what page it's on but I know I've read it in there some place. I think it's called "Stable Fireing point" or something... try the index.
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
It's not in 4th edition. So far everything must charge what it shoots at, this includes terminators, bikes, dreadnoughts, etc
The only thing they can do is that they may fire rapid fire weapons as if they were stationary and still charge
I loved that rule, ill check out that stable fire thing...but anyways that rule was awesome cuz I blow up a predator or some other tank and assualt a squad.
The rule in the 3rd Ed trial assault rules (which this rule was based on) was that any unit which counted as stationary even when moving could shoot one unit (including rapid fire), and assault another. If the wording is the same in 4th Ed, then it would depend on the upgrade description, and all of the given examples (terminators, bikes, and dreadnoughts) are able to do this.
This is the interpretation used by my local store and gaming club. If the wording is different, they would not be able to, unless the descriptions in the codices are altered upon release.
Greetings from Planet X, I hope you enjoy your day.
