My friend and I went through the collection of Imperial Armour books that we have to just clarify what was still valid in each book. My friend had a couple of questions he wanted me to ask on here just to get clarification one way or the other.
Hydra Platform - Does the auto-tarageting system work the same as in the codex IG? The book states that it negates the cover saves of bikes but does not mention tanks as it does in the IG codex.
Hunter Killer Missles - In any codex you find Hunter killers have an unlimited range, but in IAA2 it states that they only have a 72" range even though this was asked in the FAQ it was dismissed as the person asking was thinking of Hell fury missles? (Don't have the FAQ to confirm missle type) We checked and the Hunter killers do indeed have a 72" profile.
Grey Knight Land Raider Redeemer - Is it still valid? I said not because of certain upgrades refering to the Demon Hunters codex that do not exist in current grey knight codex.
Tauros Venator - The Venator is said to be able to take a Hunter Killer Missle as an upgrade but the model itself has two. Misprint?
Caestus - My friend wants to just confirm that this is no longer a flyer? Is it an error or a change to its profile?
Well forgeworld often get caught out by GW bringing out new codex rules so you have to use a little common sense.
Hydra: When a new codex prints rules then it superceeds any exhisting rules from imperial armour. Note a hydra isn't an AA tank in codex IG since there are no aircraft I suppose and they don't wish to confuse the kiddies. Check the IAvol1 update on the FW site but it is probably just an ommission.
HKs: I would play unlimited range but helstrikes are not HK missiles (they are much worse)
GK Redeemer: The new codex has a redeemer in it so that probably counts as a rerelease of the redeemer rules and superceeds the FW rules. Note Psybolts on AC have the same stats as psycannon so you can still use the thing with the regular GK codex rules.
Venator: I spotted this too and also the fact that the points have changed from IAvol8 to IASE. I would assume its a missprint until the IASE FAQ comes out. (not too pleased that the mega daemon of Nurgle lost 4 wounds all of a sudden and slowed down his movement)
Caestus: I would look at the Valkyrie as an example. In 40k it is a fast skimmer. In Apocalypse it is a flyer. I think in 6th edition 40k fliers will all be represented as fast skimmers able to fire all weapons if they move 12" or go flat out 36". Necron codex uses these rules for their flying units.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
Wrt to the hunter killers, there was an update in one of the apoc books that said that you could limit all 'unlimited' range items such as weapons or things that affect the whole table in 40k to 72". I guess that is why they changed the range of the HK.

The answer plainly said that hunter killers were unlimited (Refering to a spesific entry in the book) and actually asked in the answer of the FAQ that if they had misread the entry and meant hell strike missles. Not only did they basically dis the guy asking the question but made themselves look like right idiots because after we checked the Hunter Killers were listed as 72" not just the Hell Strike Missles.
