Where do the rules state that you cant charge when arriving from Outflanking? People are talking about it how nerfd.
I see that infiltrators can't charge on their first turn, but thats a different rule than Outflanking.

Arriving by Outflank means that you are arriving from Reserves. You cannot assault on the turn you arrive from Reserves.
Sorry but I can't give you the page ref because the rulebook isn't here with me at this moment.

Yup that's it, It's not specifically Outflank, just arriving from reserves in general.

Actually it says 'the first turn' with infiltrators, if it had said 'their first turn' the whole thing would not be a grey area. As it says 'the' first turn, it can be presumed that due to GW's own rule that 'a turn' means a player turn unless specifically stated otherwise then if we go second with infiltrators we can therefore charge as it's no longer 'the first turn' ie player turn. Which I think is only fair; let me explain:
If I choose to stick a brood of say genestealers 12 inches out of los of enemy troops at the end of deployment phase of the game, and I have to go second, if they mean the whole first turn, then my opponent could (in theory) move a unit round the obstacle and shoot me, on my turn all I can do is move, then he could shoot me again, now tell me is that fair? Whereas if it is the first 'player' turn as implied, he could do that but would only get one round of shooting before I declare a charge on him, then he gets snap fire as well anyway, and fairly so. But does the latter not seem fairer to everyone?
Completely agree jboweruk.
Don't remember the page number but it's very early in the rulebook it also say that unless it's specifies game turn any mention of "turn" is a player turn.

I find Outflank to be totallyuseless. To my understanding of the rule, you move onto the board and can not run, declare charges, or SHOOT in the turn! Is this correct? Request confirmation from my the Seer Council. Pete.

I think there is some confusion with the wording, but I believe under normal circumstances you can shoot, the not shooting refers to vehicles who get stuck halfway onto the board due to their being over 6 inches long. If they are stuck with their butt end touching the edge they cannot move or shoot or do anything else, but all other reserves can at least shoot on the turn they arrive as normal. But no you can't charge, which pretty much renders units suchs as Stealers/STriking scorpions et. al. obsolete.

Arrive from Outflank just stops you from assaulting if you're a non-vehicle unit. Jboweruk has it right about the vehicles: rather than being destroyed as per 5th Ed, you just get parked up with a wheel clamp and gun muzzles fitted.

I thank the Seer Council so far for this insight. This will help my Farseer in his quest to regain the glory that was the Eldar! I will still accept other recommendations from other Concil members. Farseer Pete.
