OK, here's the deal.

In my new Saim-Hann army, I'm wanting some allied Harlequins (cos they're cool, and hard) - I've decided to take a 5-man troupe plus leader. Now, in my army list I also happen to have a tooled-up Falcon with some empty space (6 empty seats in fact).

The transport is not restricted to transporting a specific unit, as it was bought as a Heavy Support choice. It just says "The Falcon can carry 6 models". Also, in the rulebook (page 62) it says concerning non-dedicated transports: "...can be used to provide ad hoc transportation to any unit that can embark on it."

From this, I would say the Harlequins can travel in the Falcon  Yes/no?

    * This is in Rules Help as it's not just Eldar-related, the same principle goes for any army/allied unit.

Should be able to have them embark on it so long as they are not on there with anything else as you can't mix units in a transport.

I'd say that within the 4th ed rulebook there is nothing stopping you. Not got a harlequins book available, maybe there is something in thier confirming / denying this.

the any unit that can embark on it, line sells it for me.

Also in an eldar or dark eldar army Harlies AREN'T allies, there an alternative elites choice... if you choose to use them that way. Which means they are part of your army anyway....
