I would like to bring something under your attention fellow players. According to the new rules (Big Grey Book) page 55 under the Monstrous Creature Assault phase, M. creatures that have weapons that augment their strenghts dont get to roll 2d6 for armor penetration. So reading this I found that a Demon Prince with D. stature and a dark blade -that gives a bonus to strenght as we all know- although he is a monstrous creature he will be denied the extra dice at the AP roll cause of the blade. So tankbusting while killing units is somehow harder for the big dude now or at least not that easy.
Ahh I see the screw up fairy has visited us again...
Well, in my opinion you can always say that you are not using the weapon(s) losing possible attack for ccw and still get the 2D6 AP....

Yes Hugus is correct, you can either gain +2S or get 2d6 AP.. Demonic stature bonuses would not affect anything
