I before E except after C

No they cannot field ... tau. Demon hunters have a specific entry in their codex that allows them to be fielded with any imperium army, it's not just IG. There are an extremely small amount of allies in 40k and the imperium has all of them (Harlequins dont count, sorry)

Apparently, you've never seen a Grey Knight Grand Master annihilate a Greater Daemon in one hit  ...

But anyhoo, the Space Marines are also able to field Witch Hunters.

Ironic how an army in power armor has the same save as every other power armor army, no?

Short answer: no. In a few years the Alien Hunter codex should be out (the third of the Inquisition armies, the WH and DH being the other two). But for now, no.

Long answer: You could also field Harlequins or Kroot, but Harlequins don't have actual legal rules for this edition (or the last edition either), and Kroot don't really add anything of value to Imperial armies, imo.

Well, like I said, they don't exist yet. At least, not rule-wise. They're the anti-Xenos arm of the Inquisition. They use Deathwatch Space Marines (basically just veterans with spiffy gear) as their combat power. But you can't use them yet, as their codex is a while off. Last year, if you'd asked GW, they would have said the AH codex was due before the 4th edition rulebook was. Now, we have the 4th and the new SM codex, and still no AH. So don't go waiting around for them.
