Im new to this site, hi all, just joined today. I've been searching around for some ways to fairly change base stats and come up with good points costs for it. Any ideas or veterans at this process? :hmm:
Well, this is entirely up to Your usual opponents and what they perceive as "Fair".
And just to be clear, any statline modified by Yourself is strictly a house rule not to be used without permission or in official tournaments.
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
I'd think that changing base stats is a big no no. Unless you participate in the begginer events at your local GW. There according to experience you can change your character's statline, I have no idea about points increase, but generally people will frown on changed stats, even if you 'fairly' change the points.
K, just wondering, thanks.
IMHO if you are fair about it and get opponents permission then go for it. Just don't expect to use it at any GW event (I don't anyway).
For a start I would suggest using the point values in the chaos SM codex for daemonic gifts. They have point values for strength, toughness, an extra wound ect.. I not saying this would go over well with everyone you meet but it is a startting point for a set of house rules.
1 lasgun is a joke, 100 is no laughing matter.
