The psychic power Fury of the Ancients is cast in the shooting phase and targets all enemy units along a line (you target a point on the table edge). It has no type or range. The question is, if a Librarian casts Fury of the Ancients, who does he count as shooting at for the purpose of who his squad can shoot and who he can assault? My solution is that he counts as shooting the first unit that the power hits (nearest one to him). This may also have some effect on other psychic powers that are used in the shooting phase but do not have a weapon profile (such as Mind War and Gift of Chaos).
Catapultam habeo. Nisi omniam pecuniam mihi dabis, saxum immanem ad capitem tuum mittam.
It simply replaces shooting, it is NOT actually shooting. Therefore I believe that you are free to assault whoever you please.
The Mad Hatter is right, You can freely shoot and then assault after using Librarian's power.
And the ground did tremble, as the king marched to war...
