Farseers cannot be taken in 40k in 40mins

But say i take a Guardian Squad, and take a farseer to lead it. Is this legal? As in the HQ section the number of warlocks you are allowed to take are limted to five per farseer you have.

or is one of those unforseen continuity things?

It's not unforeseen because there isnt an actual rule about farseers leading guardians

Now that that is out of the way, you cannot take even 1 warlock without a farseer so if you are playing a game which dissallows farseers then you cannot have any warlocks

Well this isn't kill team, I imagine the no more than two wounds on anything is pretty intrinsic, and pretty immutable.

So basically taking a Warlock is ok (if you look at the GW pdf 40k in 40 minutes 2, or 40k revisited, one of the sample army lists uses a Warlock), taking a farseer is a big no no.

Well, the rules for 40k in 40 mins (not Combat Patrol) state that you can ignore 'limitation rules' such as this. They give the example of Imperial Guard Armoured Fist squads, who in normal scenarios require you to have an infantry platoon first. I would say ignore it, but you might want to say to your opponent before hand.

Yeah, I (and most reasonable people) would let you take a Warlock in a combat patrol (40k in 40mins) game with the normal required Farseer. It makes sense that a low-level psyker like that would be alloed to lead such a patrol.

Ask your opponent first though, no reason he'd say no particularly.

A warlock wont lead the patrol, its odd. A normal aspect warrior has a higher ld value...
