Just wondering what the crossfire rule is.
i am new to the Dark eldar boards, and they mention it a bit.
as near as i can figure it is in reference to the "corridor" that squads must run to the tables edge in.
if i stick a bunch of guys in their way, they will be effectively in a crossfire and i assume that they would die...
this is also important to me because i am primarily a 'nid player, and if my gaunts and warriors are surrounding a squad when they try to fall back, will i kill them regardless of who rolls higher on the initiative rolls?
just wondering how that would work because i had a bunch of eldar guardians surrounds by gaunts, and he won the initiative roll, and out ran me, even though all my guys were in a fully-formed fence, preventing them from fleeing.
thanks for the help guys (and girls if applicable)
the crossfire rule was in 3ed edition. it doesn't exist anymore.

Actualyy it does still exist its in there, its just damn hard to use as you have to completely surround a unit now as they are allowed to divert round units and obstacels and the unit engaging tehm in close combat no longer counts as one of the units that contributes
