Ok first off I am not sure whether anyone is going to be allowed to give me an answer on this, becuase of not being allowed to post certain things but here we go.
Simply put if the LCR moves what is the rapid fire range of the hurricane bolters. Is it 24 all the time or 12 because the vehicle moved.
Thanks for the help mates.
A weapon fired from a vehicle always counts as not moving, as long as the weapon is mounted on the vehicle. Ref: BBB p63.
So it could fire twice at max range.
Check the range and type of a bolter again. A Rapid Fire weapon can fire once up to maximum range or twice up to 12" - if the firer didn't move that turn. Since mounted on tanks always counts as stationary, their bolters may always fire up to maximum range (or twice up to 12").
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
Thanks a bunch, this has been an issue at my store for a while now. Peolple who were using them said that they could fire 2 at 24 but it didnt sound right to me. Thanks a bunch
Do note that you are no longer able to move 12"and still fire the hurricane bolters.
Yeah because of the new rule for firing weapons and moving but I thought that I read somewhere that they could still fire the bolters. I might be wrong.
Bolters on vehicles are completely unchanged. Not sure why so many people at your store didnt know that heh.. Only thing changed is that you're allowed 2 at 12 if you moved and assaulting of course
If you move far enough that you are no longer allowed to fire defensive weapons,t hen no you can't shoot them.
I don't have the chart with me, btu I believe vehicles can fire defensive weapons up to 12" (correct me if I am wrong).
Wednesday nights at GW (Ontario Mills in Ontario, CA)
4-7-05 - SoB 1200, S&D Omega, Opponent was new.
4-7-05 - ME! Chris beats me again with his space wolves (he is a good palyer without his eldar).
Depends if you're a fast vehicle or not. See page 64. In the case of the Crusader, move more than 6" and you can't shoot anything.Originally posted by justinb67@Feb 11 2005, 19:41
