Okay, well I've been thinking after playing several games with the new rulebook and seeing how many unresolved problems there are I decided that we should find out all the things that we can't find the answers for, after which I say we get a petition together asking GW to give an explainatory faq on the rulbook with answers to all our questions (I don't know where to find an online petition thing but someone else on Librarium Probably does) So start posting things you think need explaing and if some one can't explain to you how it works for sure then I'll add it to a list and after we come up with enough things I'll with a little help send GW a petition.
While your determination is commendable your wisdom is not. It would take a turly massive list to get GW to even recognize you guys. While I may have a few gripes about some new rules I am by far satisfied. I have no real problems with it. This is one of the times you have to realize your going to be fighting an immposible battle.
I'm cynically inclined to agree and express my disgust at GW's inability to do anything to alleviate their customers' confusion. There are so many ways in which they could publish clarifications to each and every ambiguity in the rules, but they have yet to do anything at all in this matter.
People, people. We spend fortunes paying for models that cost 3 times what there worth we deserve a respectable response from GW and besides think about it if GW did do something then wouldn't it make ya think well maybe there not as big of Jerk's as they seem? Maybe, just maybe they might even comend us for talking to them civilized instead of going of in a tyraid about what idiots they can be. I mean isn't it a little annoying there were no allies rules? how about this classic one how many cc weapons do you have to have to get an extra attack 1, 2? if 2 why can certain units such as ravenwing bikes get one cc weapon I mean wouldn't that make it pointless? if enough people respond asking fo this with enough reasons then they'll do it we just have to try I mean you owe it to yourselves as gamers.

I may be taking this a little OT, but I'm curious. . . What issues do said people have with the area terrain rules?Originally Posted by samurai_socks

Ok, I dont normally like ranting, but still....Because maybe riding a bike with no hands would be just a tad hard? ...hang on, I'll re-write that....if 2 why can certain units such as ravenwing bikes get one cc weapon I mean wouldn't that make it pointless? if enough people respond asking fo this with enough reasons then they'll do it we just have to try I mean you owe it to yourselves as gamers.
Because maybe riding a bike, speeding at so many miles-per-hour, in a warzone, speeding into a swirlling mass melee of close, bloody hand to hand fighting, with no hands on the controls, might be a tad hard.
I find it great sometimes. I hear so much whining about how the rules should be more realistic, yet, when it comes to white scars and bikes, and other similar things, people still complain.Which, correct me if Im wrong, your not forced to do.People, people. You could prehaps try a cheaper system?Nooo, GW dont like satisfying their customers. Thats why you can always ring them for rules clarifications, And oh, yes, send you minis or orders free of charge if say your order gets lost in the post, or has bits missing....but of course, GW must still be bad. :rolleyes:GW are only interested in making money, not satisfying their customers-as long as they make a massive amount of money, they don't give a damn about what you think about the rules.
There is a simple way of fixing rules problems, if you can't afford to, or are too lazy to ring GW. Which was in the back of the old 3rd Ed rule book...you know your dice? well, you can roll them to to fix rules problems.
Or, maybe tweek the problems yourself? Ok so maybe your tweeks wont be in tourneys, but you'll be happy...until something else comes along for you to have a go at.
Ok, sorry for sounding sarcastic, Im normally easy going, but if theres one thing I can't stand, bar someone taking the last bit of Cheesecake, is people, who love the hobby, buy the minis, take the time to come to an online fourm about said hobby, and then...***** about it.
So sorry Brother Darien, I for one, wouldn't post on your petition. Its this kind of action that reminds me about all that "Lets boycott GW and have picket lines outside GW stores!!!!" buisness a few years back....which I shall say, failed badly.

One question: How hard would it be for GW to publish a monthly FAQ in White Dwarf or on their website? Just that would seriously be a monumental improvement over the current situation.Originally Posted by Toastee
I agree about the costs there a bit steep. For those younger collectors who don't get much money its a bit hard to keep collecting. I used to think that Warhammer was worth the cost but now I feel like I've been a little ripped off because there only minature soldiers and tanks.
Plus the increase in price is making me feel like stopping. Now I just go on Ebay.
