I was playing against a Salamanders player last week and he told me rending weapons now ignore armor saves on a 6 TO-WOUND rather than auto-wounding and ignoring saves on a 6 TO-HIT as everything I've read says. Is this guy smoking something or has there been some kind of rule change?
As far as I know, rending weapons auto-wound and ignore armor on a 6 to-hit; however, when rolling for AP for vehicles, you only get an added bonus penetration die on a 6 for AP, NOT on a 6 to-hit.
Basically, this guy is smoking something.
A codex to the back of the head is recommended. If he disagrees ask him to produce a rulebook page reference to substantiate his claim. Then pull out your rulebook.
Codex to the back of the head isnt good enuogh.Originally Posted by Addoran
Try the rulebook
Chaos - 11W 0L 0D
Orks - 8W 0L 0D
Tyranids - 8W 0L 0D
If you get a six it's an Auto Wound unless they got an invulnerable Save.
I should probabley get some assault cannons, help me dice a a friends wraithlord

Assault cannons have a statistically better chance of dealing a wound to a Wraithlord than a Lascannon. Right now they're probably the best weapon in the entire game, at least at medium range.Originally Posted by Commander_Knag
