with most missiles, you don't run out, right...
so why can you buy multiple missiles for the devil fish (the ones what are activated by a markerlight hit)
is it that you can only activate the missile option a number of times each round equal to how many missiles you bought,
(as in, I buy 1, only 1 markerlight each turn can become a missile hit, but i buy 4, then i can score 4 missile hits a turn)
or that you have a limited number for the entire battle
(as in, i buy 1 missile, and fire 1 missle, i can't fire any more for the battle...)
That’s right… buy 1 you get only 1 for the entire game, just like hunter killer missiles. I don’t have a tau dex on me but my friend is a tau player and I have read the dex.

All normal weapons (like Missile Pods and Missile Launchers) are assumed to have enough ammunition carried to last the entire battle.
Certain special options, such as Hunter-Killer Missiles and Seeker Missiles, are single-shot ordeals... You get to fire one Missile (or more, if bought separately), and when gone they're gone.
