In a Guardian squad or any squad for that matter, does a Warlock take the place of one of the 10-20 Guardians? If so, do you take the basic guardian cost and add the 11 points (and upgrades)?
The DS sucks because to look at two screens, you would need two eyes!!!
The Warlock is added to the squad and does not replace an existing Guardian. This is indicated by the fact that the codex says that the squad may be "joined" by a Warlock. Also, the cost is 11 points and not 11 points plus the cost of a Guardian. You only add when the cost is prefixed by a '+', such as with Aspect Warrior Exarchs. Also, a character only replaces an existing squad member when the unit description says that a model may be "upgraded". Again, such is the case with Aspect Warriors. A Warlock is an entirely separate model that simply joins the Guardian squad.Originally Posted by windadept
