Im looking at the CA 2003 book, and my question is, Can Vets who take Power Weapons still take the special ammo?
I can understand why one with a Powerfist or dual Lightning Claws can't get the ammo, but I don't see why someone that has a Power sword wouldn't be able to...
I only ask because Im planning my Deathwatch Squad, and I don't want to do all the work, only to find that its wrong.
Dont know for sure, but I dont see why a model with a power weapon couldn't take the specialized armour. When all is said and done, the power weapon is just an uber-powerful version of a normal sword/axe/glaive/mace/whatever, and thus could be put down or otherwise stowed, without hampering the warriors dexterity. On the other hand, the dual lightning claws and powerfist would significantly limit the dexterity of the warrior wielding it, rendering a special gun loading nigh on impossible.
Aye, tis what I thought, and even the guy at Mail Order/Rulez Boyz said that is was probably a misprint or poor wording.
Just wanted to be sure, I mean I didn't want to give most of the squad their own Power Weapon only to find out that later they wouldn't be able to use the ammo.
