If a genestealer attacks a Wraithlord can it still rend? Since his str is only a 4 normall he wouldn't be able to wound at all and if he can't wound me how can he rend me? Just a question whether the genestealers and deal an auto wound on a 6 to teh WL even though a 6 wouldn't pierce its toughness.
Yes they can AFAIK.
Rending weapons (at least rending claws) work a bit like the Gauss weapons. To hit rolls of a 6 will wound regardless of SvsT.

-Arnoldunit Schwarzenecronegger; when questioned about the impending doom he would rain down upon the heads of his doomed enemies.
Oh alright, thanks!
Not quite. Rending will auto wound no armour save on a roll of 6 to hit, gauss weapons will wound when You roll 6 to wound. There is a slight differenceRending weapons (at least rending claws) work a bit like the Gauss weapons. To hit rolls of a 6 will wound regardless of SvsT.
