*Sigh* Ok, I really hate to ask a question that has no doubt been posted countless times, But I need to know:
Can You intant kill things in close combat?
ie, str 10 Carni v t4 Grey Knight Grand Master.
And can swarms be instant Killed?
Thanks for bearing with me, but I could not find this in the rule book.

Yes: Nothing says they can't unless I'm blind and missed something (happened before and will happen again)
Dreams give us a vision of a world unlike any we have seen. They present us with a glimpse of a better life; a goal to aspire to, and in the face of insurmountable odds, they provide us with the power to overcome, to live on, and to succeed where we would have otherwise failed.
Its not just weapons I'd like to add.. If you take a wound from anything that is 2x your toughness you die
This includes Inquisitors taking Perils of the warp. 1 PoW = instant death for them
But yes the above poster is correct
Thanks alot everyone.
That made taking down my friends beefy chaos lord *a lot* easyer.
Careful, a D. Rune makes them ignore instant kill.
I realize that, but his 2nd in command does not have the runes. You should have seen the look on his face when I crunched is sorc. with a carnifex. Priceless.
there are more rules to consider when determinating the result between a monstrious creature and an other char. they thread armor saves different(difficult not to violate a forum rule here). and invulnerable saves can prevent instakill.
Well, only as long as the save is successful (in which case no wound is dealt at all).Originally Posted by vindicator
