Hi, I have an Eldar Avatar I have converted with greenstuff, Eldar guardian/warlock parts and the main torso of a rackham figure (a non GW figure).
I would like to play with this figure since I spent may hours creating it, but I am afriad they wont let me game with it at the GW store. Does anyone know if they will be cool with it since I did use 50% GW figures in the conversion and the rest of my army is all GW stuff?
Any other rules about figure laws in GW stores I would like to know before moving on making/painting some other conversions that maybe band from play.
Thanks for your help guys,
Dont tell them, and if they ask say its from an older model range...
If you can see the GW parts on it should be fine.
I'ver heard its something like 75% GW. How you can tell that? My do no.
Three Companies of the 26th Vinancium
143rd Airborne Badgers (99.9% done)
159th Corsair Rifles (35% done))
69th Armored Wall Busters (95% done)
Total 197 men, 12 tanks, 4 Heavy Artillery Pieces
Depends on the game store. Most places are pretty cool about it as long as it's mostly GW parts, you just can't use it in a tournament unless it's 100% GW.
Thanks alot guys.
Maybe my best bet is just to ask the guys at the store straight out about it. Or maybe even bring a pic of the fig in and ask...just seems so lame cause they have made so much money off of me anyways and 99% of my army is GW anyways
I think another problem is I paint pretty well and causes those GW workers to check out all my figs closely.
Well, I know technically rules are rules, but if your whole army is GW but that ONE mini (which is part GW!!!) and they won't let you play, they're just freaks.... If so, find a nice rogue trader store or try to introduce the game to friends so a to create your own gaming circle. I mean, we give GW a lot of money, and that's ok, beacause they're a business and gave us a great hobby. But it's no reason to be fachists about it. That's what a deplore about GW store (from what I know of mine and what I hear of others); they sometimes grow a tremendous self-importance that borders on being a sect. That has made me shop elsewhere most of the time. Hey I vote with my money! Anyways, isn't the "rule" for non-tournement game 50% of your army being GW minis???
Enough rant for today! If you think your mini is nice, be proud of it, and show it off!!!!
if its painted tell them you made it yourself from greenstuff!!
So Tourney armies are 100% GW? How am I to make my mecha pirate then? I'm certainly NOT using something from the Inquisitor range!
I say you can use it, unless your using it in a GW Offical Match or something to that extreme.
...And they shall fear the lasgun
