I play an Eldar close combat army, mainly banshees.
If I let my banshees out before I move can I move then assault from a waveserpent?
Aka dismount -> Move troops and transport -> Assault with troops?
Yes, you can.
References to come in the morning, from me at least.

yep. its pretty much the only way to get banshees into combat safely. if your waveserpent hasn't moved you can dismount your banshees up to 2" from the entry point, then move them, then fleet them then assault.
then you can move the transport as well.
Phew, I was worried there. I just won't drop them the turn I move. Will keep them safe. I play a 2000 point mounted aspect warrior army.
2x Units Banshees with Exarch mounted in Waveserpent
2x Unit Stormsquad Guardians mounted in Waveserpent
1x Unit Firedragoons (8 + Exarch) with Farsee with guide mounted in WaveSerpent
2x Wrathlords with starcannons
All Waveserpents have spirit stones and vectored engines and ALWAYS move over 6"
Thinking of adding in a Viper or removing a wrathlord and adding 3x Warwalkers.
I was quiet scared I would have to leave banshees out for a full turn before I assault! Thanks for the help! Also, if anyone has suggestions for the army speak up! Getting ready for 4th edition. It's a good army, 90% win ratio, have problems with SOME necrons (All depends if they keep getting back up or not) and some Tau. Other armies are my.... (Insert word Here)
Eldar transports still arent very good due to having only 1 access point, but yes you can do a normal turn provided the transport does not move beforehand
Keep in mind that PIVOTING is moving the transport as you are "Activating" it, a lot of people get that wrong. You cannot pivot, disembark and then move + assault
Be careful, wave serpent armies are easily beaten by a few landspeeders that block your single access point heh
I agree with what everyone else has said.
For reference, the Transport rules are on page 62 of the Rulebook.
