I'm getting really confused of the wording of the rules in the rules book.
It states that ord barrage use the firing procedures for barrage weapons to determine where they land but hit with all the benefits of ordanance. wtf is that suppose to mean?
Idea 1 : you get to land 3 pie plates, but choose one for hitting as a single ord o.o?
Idea 2: You do exactly same as a blast barrage, dropping three templates, and get bonus pinning rule.
Idea 3. i dont know ?!
lol.. help help help..
Option 4: You do what the weapon profile says
Ordnance 1 = 1 ordnance template.. BARRAGE is simply a mode of fire with an extra effect
3 weapons that fire as a battery would use the multiple barrage rule, and only artillery really has that..
Ordinance doesn't refer to any template size, just a series of special rules with the weapon. So basically it means your barrage obeys the Ordinance Rules of page 29 of the codex. It's just nitty gritty really, you pretty much have it summed up in idea 2. Your template will always be either the blast or large blast listed in the weapons rules, ordinance just determines it's firing rules (like where it comes on the table on page 63).
I want to edit, but someone's stolen my edit button..so I'll double post.
And Kirasu is quite correct, barrage and ordinance and simply a set of firing rules attached to the weapon.
The number of templates is determinded by the number of weapons.
The size of the templates is determinded by the individual weapon rules.
Ordnance weapons also get a better chance to penetrate vehicle armour and their own damage table to roll on, so that's something else Ordnance Barrages will benefit from.
P.S. Yeah, who nicked the Edit button!?!
aite aite. lol just had to clear things up.
so basi indirect shot, since earthshaker is ord. 1. its a single pie plate but with the pinning rules and gets teh ordinance penetration table.
