Looking at the models on the boxes, they look quite similar, but, of course there are a few minor differences (e.g., sponson guns shown). I'm hopeful that conversion from an LR to an LRC or the reverse is pretty easy. Perhaps the LRC model is easier to convert? Does either model come with the appropriate guns to mount on the side in case I wish to change from one style of LR to another? |

Personally, I feel the LRC is a better choice, due to it's assault capabilities, whereas an LR is a better weapons platform, (ie, sit back and blast). I think that if you want a weapons platform, there are better and cheaper ways to do it. If you want to know what comes in the box, check out the GW website, the online shopping section. It shows what comes in each blister/box.

from what the GW site shows, when you purchase the LRCrusader, you get everything from the LR plus extra bits to form the LRC, so it wouldn't be inconceivable for you to magnet the LR so it coule be either variant (as well as the alternate LR setups)

Thanks for the help, all. That feature where you can see what's in the box is very helpful. It does look like the LRC is just the LR with a few extra bits. As for why this is posted here ... I couldn't find a painting/modelling forum, which is really the point of my question. I don't know which model LR I want, I know the game is WYSIWYG, and I'd like to avoid spending buttloads of money if I make a mistake. Yeah, I'm using a specific army, but I felt my question was more rules-oriented than Daemonhunters-oriented |
