    multi-melta question

ok this might be a dumb question to ask.Ok for its double pentration range of 12 " is it like in a scenario.Let's say against a land Raider, does the double pentration mean you A) have two chances of getting 6's or does it mean you add both of D6 together plus 8.

    Add.

2d6 pen therefore gives a range of 2-12 plus the strength of the weapon for armor penetration.

This also means that you have a better than 50% chance of getting a 15 for your armour penetration roll.
