"Characters treated as separate unit"
Does this rule apply only if character joined another unit or does it apply to the character's retinue as well thus requiring the character to always be base to base to fight?
Also for the purpose of scoring and for getting experience does an Inquisitor's retinue count as normal or are they wargear like the librarian's familiar or the thrall wizard of a sorcerer?
Yes, it applies for independant characters in retinues and for independant characters that have joined a squad. Keep in mind that it does not apply to normal characters like sergeants.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.
--Duiker, "Deadhouse Gates"
It only means, that he has to be in BtB contact to be able to attack and that he may be singled out by models in BtB with him and those in the combat zone. For other cases the unit counts as 1 unit (moral-cheks, break tests etc.).
The unit counts normal for victory points. If the retinue is below half strength you get the points if its wiped out also. The IC is not counted when determining this. I don't know if there are special rules for this Inquisitor retinue... Sorry.
They are purchased as a retinue and do not come out of his wargear allowance.Originally Posted by nedroj

So it's pretty much everyone's universal steak, and therefore makes an easy-to-obtain sacrifice.
Anyway, thanks Cal, and enjoy your offering!
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.
