    IG Transports and shooting

Does a surveyor allow a unit's transport to take the free shot as well as the troops?
Does a transport have to shoot at the same unit as a troop using the firing point?

I think the answer to both questions is no.

Although they are bought for the same force org slot, they are technically not a single unit which means things that deliver bonuses to one don't get conferred unless its specifically stated. Same goes for the infantry squads, although they fill out the same force org. slot they don't all count as one unit and don't all have to shoot at the one target and so on.
