Medics can help their units by eliminating a casualty; however, how is unit defined? Is it in the actual squad they are attached to? If the medic is in the cmd sqd of an infantry plt, can he eliminate a casualty anywhere within the platoon?
How effective is the medic? I have yet to use him in a game...but was considering having one.
Thanks in advance...
A medic affects only the squad he is part of, not the platoon
His efficiency depends how the battle goes, which is dependant on a number of factors, but I tend to take them when available
Everything you have been told is a lie!
He only affects the unit he is with, not any other units that are a part of the same Organization choice. He's best used, IMO, if you put some plasma guns in with a command squad so you can avoid Gets Hot! Otherwise your 5+ save will just be negated too often for him to be of terrible use.
I guess he would work decently well if you use Carapace Armor doctrine and put in on the squad, as you will get the save much more frequently.
