I have the second edition codex and all of my army is second edition. But some fig's aren't changed in the 3th edition but there stats have changed. Do I have to switch al the time of codex, or can I just use the 2e edition codex.
ps. in the 2e edition codex there's an " M " in front of the WS and BS etc. what does that M say?
(I'm from belgium, sorry for my english)
M is the movement speed of the units.
There is no way that you could use a second edition codex while using 3rd edition rules. The codex is not compatible to these newer rules. For example, weapons use safe modifiers in 2nd edition, this concept has been removed entirely from 3rd edition 40K. Now we use AP values. There are many other things like this. Additionally, the point values of 2nd edition codices are not the same that they would be in 3rd edition.
But I have a runtherd and that fig isn't included in the 3th edition codex.
So I can't use those fig anymore (goff orks , blood axe kommandos etc.) ?
The figure doesnt have to be sold as a "slugga boy" to be able to use it as a slugga boy as long as the figure _looks_ like something you would call a slugga boy.
Runtherd sounds like a Grot Slaver to me and blood axe kommandos can be used as (or converted to be) kommandos, slugga boyz , shoota boyz or ard boys depending on how they look.
