Ok so I might be starting Thousand Sons and I came across an issue. The standard Rubric marine has 2 wounds unlike the standard chaos marine. Now all aspiring champions are sorcerors and can be given special powers and equiptment. However they only have 1 wound. The question is If I fail 1 wound do I HAVE to kill my champion?
Scenario 2: If I upgrade my AC to have a 2+ save and the rest have 3+ saves and I take one wound do I use his or their save? If theirs do I only have to take 1 wound off one of the rubric marines?
Thanks for any help.
P. 76 covers this very well. Scenario 1, you don't have to kill him unless you have stacked as many wounds as you have models. You can place your wounds on your rubric marines as long as you only place 1 on each. If there are too many wounds to just be covered by 1 wound on each rubric, then the champion would get a wound and possibly die. then it would carry back over to the rubric marines. Just because he only has one wound doesn't mean he has to take the wounds first. Edit- however each model must be allocated one wound before they can be allocated the second, so he must take a wound before the rest can take a second.
Scenario 2: Use majority armor save of 3+.As for taking wounds off, if there is only one wound then you only need to take one wound off.

Ask yourself why in the world would you trust a win loss record? Playing them yourself is the only way to tell.
The true joy in the game is playing down to the last model, no matter the odds.
