TL weapons act as a single weapon, so therefore do my crisis get to shoot their TL plasmas then a fusion as their second attack? (assuming they have the necessary wargear)
lets say I have wargear instead, does that mean I get to fire TL plasmas 2x (2TL for each attack?)
that would be a lot of shots, especially rapid fire?
I thought I had this down, simply counting the TL as the two attacks, but reading BGB today confused me =/
Yes, if you have the necessary wargear, and because the TL Plasma counts as one gun, you can also shoot the fusion blaster.
I don't really understand the rest of the question, what sort of wargear do you mean?
I'm not sure how it works in the new Tau Empire codex, but in the old one you had the option of either twinlinking the weapon or having 2 of the same, operating independantly.
1 - you buy 1 twin linked plasma rifle: you get to reroll all the to hit rolls for this weapon.
2- you buy 2 plasma rifles: you don't get the reroll's to hit because they are not twinlinked, but you do get to fire twice as many shots.

If a weapon is twinlinked it fires the same amount of shots as the normal weapon but gets to reroll misses. That is the only difference.
You can't shoot one weapon twice, even with multi tracker. The TL weapon counts as one weapon. Therefore a TL plasma rifle will be able to shoot one shot at max range, 2 shots in rapid fire but be able to reroll a missed shot.
ok that answers it... i think... the TL attack counts as both the Crisis attacks ya?
There is debate on whether you can fire a TL gun at all without a multitracker, but just go by the BGB for now.
You can have a TL plasma without a multitracker and fire it just fine, as it will count as one gun, one system firing. You can then put a multitracker on to fire a TL plasma on rapid fire mode in 12", and also fire a fusion gun at 12". The TL would count as one and the fusion would count as one. You cannot have two TL guns though, too many hard points. A battlesuit has 3 hard points, two TL weapons count as two hardpoints a piece.
Battlesuit weapons are never taken as hard wired wargear.
If you mean the TL gun counts as both of its attacks with a multitracker, then no it doesn't as it is firing just one system, even though that system fills two hard points, and you may still fire your second system.
Edit- TL isn't two attacks, it is one shot which you get a re-roll on. On tl plasma you roll for 1 shot on rapid fire, reroll if you miss, roll the second shot, re-roll if you miss.

Ask yourself why in the world would you trust a win loss record? Playing them yourself is the only way to tell.
The true joy in the game is playing down to the last model, no matter the odds.
So uh... I might read you wrong but I get the impression you are referring to the 2 close combat attacks the suit gets, which of course you can't use for ranged combat. At least that is the only way I get it to make sense. I'm barely awake though so if I read you wrong sorry about that. :sleep:Originally Posted by turinevo
