I am just switching over to 40k from Warhammer fantasy and have begun collecting Daemonhunters. I have a rules question. I have been unable to find the rules on Force weapons in the 40k Rulebook. I have found the rules on power weapons however. Can someone please tell me where I can find the details of what exactly are the special affects of a force weapon as opposed to a power weapon. (I ask the question because a GK Nemesis Force Weapon can act as both.) Thanks a ton.
The force weapon rules aren't in the rulebook, because there are different version of force weapons. E.g. eldar direswords are force weapons, but they work different than imperial force weapons. You can find the rules of GK force weapons in Codex Daemonhunters, page 17.
Thanks man, udabomb. I overlooked that entry. *Sigh* I thought it should be in the codex.
THey'er awsome, no? Ain't it fun taking out a bloodthirster with JUST your gm?
What's funny is that the rules for force weapons aren't actually in the Imperial Guard codex, even though their Sanctioned Psykers can have them. Then in the FAQ they ask for the rules, and it says "look in the space marines codex." How lame. What was GW thinking?
apperently they WERNT thinking...
Of course, having the habit of publishing things without thinking first seems to be a required hobby of GW employees <_< .
Ze titles yez...

But what of the midgets!?

Just like not putting the orks weapons stats in the the ork codex. Sometimes I think Gw tries to annoy people <_< .
They're in the BBB. I was confused at first too.
Hey, BiD, I make a humble suggestion that you put a sticky in the IG forum to explain how force weapons work, so that IG players who are counfused can look there and wont go berzerk at GW for trying to screw them out of a few bucks.
Is it not against the rules to post copywritten info.? Anyway who would be crazy enough to actually put a porce weapon on a Sanctioned Psyker? It costs more than twice as much as the psyker, and with his impressively low WS he'd be hitting very rarely in CC and you'd probably never put him in CC with anything that the force weapon's power would be useful against.
