I did not find qhat I was looking for , so here it goes. How does war gear work? I ask because I read that you get 100 points per modle to get war gear. Some moldes state that you can take "X" for "X" points. If you are playing a 1500pt. game does the war gear count against the 1500 pt. or is it seperet?
I'm very sorry to say that it does count against the points limit of the game, and note that not all models can get wargear. Generally speaking it's just charectors (as part of HQ choices) and veteran troopers (like IG or SM veteran sergeants). The only way that basic men can get access to wargear is through squad upgrades which (you guessed it) also count against the points limit.
E.G. If a space marine librarian buys a power weopan from the armoury, then 15pts is deducted from both the total game points value and also from the libarians wargear limit.
Hope that answered your question, if not feel free to ask!!
You explained it perfectly, however, the power weapon actually wouldn't count towards the wargear limit since it is a weapon.Originally Posted by Cripsin

ok.... substitute power weopan for artificer armour, and 15 for 20 and it's all good....
P.S. Thanks for clearing that up Lord Commander Thule!
Thanks. That helps.
