I just wanted to find out what the right way to role for vehicle damage is.
For example lets say a heavy bolter gets two penetrating hits on a transport vehicle would that player:
A. Roll one dice, get a weapon destroyed result, have the troops in the transport disembark. Then roll the second and destroy it, but since the troops we're already disembarked they aren't entangled.
B. Roll both dice at once, see that one of them says the vehicle is destroyed, at which point the troops inside are entangled.
The local Rogue Trader store I play at is divided on the issue.
You indeed roll for all the penetration or glancing effects at the same time. B
One shot of that salvo can hit the weapon, while an other can puncture a fuel tank. There is not enough time for the passengers to react between the shots.
Just use different dice for penetrating and glancing hits. in case you get multiple of the same effect, the rulebook elaborates what the result will ben like multiple immobillised get an other effect after the initial one, even in the same turn of shooting or even from the same squad.

Where i play we roll all hits similtaneously, (penetrating then glancing), and apply the highest result first, (e.g. a five before a two etc,).
I find this system works quite well and avoids any complication.
Hope that helped!!
