just a quick q. If i have a chimera and an armoured fist squad and they shoot the chimera can they legally charge the squad?. I let it go in my last game but its been nagging me lol.
(the squad is't in the chimera btw.
This is a pretty common question. That answer is no. The transport and the squad are two separate units.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

Just confirming what Ostsol has said (in case you want a second opinion), no they cannot charge the squad.
Inquistion force WIP. Pics on posts 17 and 23.
The answer as the others have said, is definitely no.
If you want proof to bring to your next game for your gaming buddies to see, however, then you should look at it this way, in the form of a different case:
It would be just the same as if he had opened fire on one squad from an infantry platoon, and then assaulted another squad from the same platoon. Just like the dedicated Chimera and the armoured fist, the two squads in this case would each form part of the same troop choice, yet on the field they count as seperate units.
People sometimes confuse the ideas of units, and troop choice (or fast attack etc...). Whilst two or more units can sometimes occupy the same spot on the organisational chart, these units are still seperate (eg; 3 heavy weapon squads and a junior officer for one heavy support choice, or a chimera and an armoured fist squad for one troop choice, like in your case).
All in all, he was cheating by doing do, whether he knew he was wrong or not. Good of you to let it go though, btw, a friendly atmosphere is more important than anything else!
P.S if anyone sees anything wrong with what i've stated, please let me know!
