I have heard varying opinions on this.
I would like to get it right so I can model away correctly from the start.
Is the cavalry base ok? Or do they have to be put on a monster/big round base?
The same question applies to chaos hounds.
Simply put, you must mount the models on the base they came with originally, or one that is bigger.Originally Posted by Karmoon

Not sure the base size of the new hounds or the old ones...check gw online store, will show which are current sizes of thier base.
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
I was going to mount them on something larger, which as you say isn't a problem.
Thanks for the clarification.
Bikes and hounds (chaos size) come with the cavalry size base, you can opt for the larger flat dread circle as many players do. Most 40K players will actually perfer this as its round and work considering a bike won't really stop if it slammed into close combat it would most likely move around. Makes combat a little more realistic.
