    Genestealer Cult Army

Does anyone know if there is an even remotely valid Cult Army army list available? If yes- where? If no- any suggestions on how to work one up?

    All thoughts appreciated.

The most valid list is a variant Imperial Guard army using Doctrines. See the bottom of the following webpage: http://uk.games-workshop.com/imperialguard/doctrines/2/
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

Thanks- that's pretty handy. It does lack purestrains, though, which takes a bit of the fun out of it.

You could sub in the models of genestealers, but use the stats of guard. There's a doctrine variant that let's you take 2 close combat weapons that would do nicely.

Another thing one could do is add a single, simple house rule: 0-1 Broodlord with retinue. It wouldn't be tournament valid, but for friendly games I think that most opponents would consider it acceptable.

For a long time I have wanted to start a Genestealer Cult army. As I simply love Genestealers and the idea of a usurping cult following them.

There have been a few online codices floating around in the past. But as has been said, the imperial guard doctrines system is probably the best current bet. As is making your own house rules for them. However, I have recently been considering simply using the Tyranid army list to do it. You've already got the Broodlord and the 'Stealers, now consider using hybrid models for gaunts, hybrid Mortar crews for biovores, Magus models for Zoanthropes and making up a few other things. Just some thoughts.
