Rep Power: 56 Warrior 50 is becoming decadent
Default Power Fists and Power weapons

I have started a Space Marine Army after playing Imperial Guard for about 3 years. I am a little confused about these weapons.

Please verify if I have it right.

Power Fist: if strength is 4 it becomes 8 and the fist becomes a strength 8 weapon roll to hit and wound as normal. Power fist goes last in close combat.

Power weapon: if strength 4 becomes 8 and initiative comes into play as who goes first in close combat.

I plan to having power fists and power weapons in some of the squads.

Please let me know if I am still confused.

Thanks

powerfists double strength (so s4 becomes s8 ). power weapons do not. they remain at s4.
powerfists strike at i1. power weapons strike at normal i

Your right for the power fists, but not the power weapons.

A powerfist merely doubles the users base strength, allows their close combat attacks to ignore armour saves, and strike last in combat.

A power weapon however, merely ignores enemy armour saves while striking in initiative order. Power weapons offer no strength bonus, they just ignore normal saves.
